Attendance and Absence Report Procedures
It is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to report all student absences to the Attendance Office prior to 8:00 a.m. by using the Absence Requests in Infinite Campus Parent Portal. The online IC Absence Request tool is the preferred method for communicating student absences. Other methods for reporting absences include calling 414-247-4119 or emailing stormonthattendance@foxbay.org, stating the reason for the absence and the probable duration. If we do not receive a call reporting the absence, the school will attempt to call the parent or guardian at home or place of employment. This procedure is necessary to verify that the student is safe. Please view the District Policy #5200 regarding attendance.
If your child arrives late or leaves early, it is essential that they check in and out of the school office so that our records are accurate.
Parents whose children may be hospitalized or absent due to prolonged illness for more than thirty days are encouraged to contact the principal to discuss the need for homebound instruction.

Arrival Time
The school day begins at 7:45 a.m. Students are expected to be in class and ready to begin school by 7:45 a.m. Students arriving after 7:50 a.m. will be marked tardy. Children who arrive after 7:50 am and up to 10:45 am will be marked tardy. Children arriving after 10:45 am will be marked as a half day morning absence. Adult supervision begins on the playground at 7:30 a.m. During inclement weather, students will report to the cafeteria.
Please do not have your children arrive before 7:30 a.m. There is no supervision available until then.
Dismissal during the school day
A note from home is required prior to dismissing a child for a part of a day for such things as medical appointments, etc. Families who will pick children up early must wait in the office until the child arrives. Students must be checked out in the school office. We encourage these appointments be made outside of the instructional school day whenever possible.
