The District Nurse serves as the bridge between healthcare and education, managing chronic and acute health conditions, providing direct care, developing policies, and promoting student health in the District.
The Health Office Assistant
The Health Office Assistant serves as a part of the school's health care team to provide basic first aid for injuries and illness, and provide medication administration under the leadership and direction of the District Nurse. The health office is not a clinic or a substitute for the child’s own physician or health care provider.
What happens if my child gets sick or injured during the school day?
If a student becomes ill or injured during the school day, the student should report to the health office. It is often necessary to contact a parent using the emergency numbers you have provided. Please make sure that we have the most current phone numbers, including cell phones, so we can reach you immediately.
