District Health Team
District Nurse
The role of the District Nurse serves as a part of the school’s health care team in providing preventive services, early identification of problems, interventions, and referrals to foster the health and educational success of our students.
The Health Office Assistant
The Health Office Assistant serves as a part of the school's health care team to provide basic first aid for injuries and illness, and provide medication administration under the leadership and direction of the District Nurse. The Health Office Assistant is also crucial in providing emotional support to students and acting as a liaison between the District Nurse and other vital staff members. The health office is NOT a clinic, and therefore, is not a substitute for the child’s own physician or health care provider.
