Cross Country Results!
The official results are in from last Thursday’s cross-country meet held at USM. Bayside had a very strong performance with both 7th and 8th grade boys and girls coming in first place overall. Top 25 place finishers for the girls included: Jewell S, 1; Cheyne M, 2; Ellie G, 3; Maddie J, 4; Isa P, 5; Grace H, 7, Elisheva S, 9; Eli L, 11; Ela S, 14; Kristine K, 16; Lucy M, 18; Emily T, 21; and Maddie M, 22. For the boys: Aiden M, 1; Zach F, 2; Noah G, 4; Alex K, 5; Louie M, 7; Cole P, 8; Colin P, 9; Jack F, 16; Josh R, 23; and Caleb K, 25.
Our 5th and 6th grader girls and boys runners did well taking 3rd overall. Finishing in the top 25 for the girls was Winnie C, 15th, and for the boys were Gabe N, 10; Cian B, 13; Jack A, 14; Evan M, 16 and Zach W, 20.
Way to go Bayside Cross Country team on a dominant performance.

School Picture Order Forms
Attention Bayside Advisors: Please be sure to distribute the Network Photography order forms during Advisor today. They are in your mailboxes. Students, please bring your completed forms and payments back to school on picture day to hand in to the photographer. Picture day is next Friday, Oct. 7th. All students will be photographed even if they are not ordering pictures.
Good luck to our Bayside soccer teams A & C as they take on Maple Dale today at 4:00. The game will be played at Bayside. Please note that this game was originally scheduled for October 11th, but has been re-scheduled for today. GO BULLS!
PTO Benefit Night at Cosi
Attention students and staff: Tomorrow night, Tuesday, Sept.27th,Cosi Restaurant in Riverpoint will host a benefit night for the Fox Point Bayside PTO. Print the flyer on Bayside Monday Folders and bring it to Cosi anytime from 4:00 – 9:00 PM on Tuesday, and a percentage of the food sales will benefit the Fox Point-Bayside PTO! Sure sounds like a fun way to support our schools! See you tomorrow night at Cosi!
PTO’s “Bayside’s Got Talent” talent show
Brought back by popular demand, the PTO will once again sponsor the “Bayside’s Got Talent” talent show. This year’s show will be held on Friday evening, December 2nd. Students, please start thinking about your acts and what type of performance you’ll be doing. Then, listen for more details on morning announcements regarding a Talent Show Workshop that will be offered the first week in October. This workshop will provide assistance to students and will outline performance guidelines that will need to be followed in order to have your act approved for the show. More information coming next week!
PTO Spirit Wear
Students and staff: Our Fox Point-Bayside PTO has come up with some wonderful Bayside Spirit wear offerings for the new school year. Please see Bayside Monday Folders for the flyer and consider ordering some fun spirit wear. The deadline for ordering is October 7th. What a great way to show your Bayside school spirit!
MAP testing continues today. Today’s MAP testing will be for 6th grade English. Testing will take place during Ms. Scahub’s Social Studies classes.
Listen up, 5th grade band kids: It is an A week for your band lessons. Please check your A week schedule and remember to report to your lessons.
Forget something today?
Attention students, especially 5th graders and those of you who are new to Bayside Middle School: If you’ve left any items, such as your lunch, an assignment or book at home or on the bus, please be sure to check with Ms. Metzenheim in the Health and Attendance office. All items that are dropped off by parents or brought in from the busses are held for you on the table in the Health Office. Be sure, of course, to get a pass from your teacher to check for items that might be in the Health Office. Announcements will not be made for lost items, so students are responsible for checking.
