Several 8th graders taking Journalism this trimester are working to create the Bayside News. This weekly newscast will share information about the great things occurring at Bayside Middle School. The goal is to produce a new Bayside News each Friday. Take a look at this week's newscast below.

7th & 8th Grade Boys’ Basketball
Attention 7th & 8th grade boys’ basketball team members: This is just a reminder that there are no games or practices after school today. There will be a game for the 8th grade team only coming up on Thursday against Glen Hills.
Green & Health Schools Club
There will be a Green & Healthy Schools meeting this week on Wednesday, January 25th from 3:15-3:45 in Mrs. McGrath's room. GHS members, please plan on attending. Any seventh graders missing the meeting due to the camp trip can simply check Google Classroom for any updates upon return to school.
Nicolet Parents 101 Session
Attention 8th graders: Be sure to remind your parents that the first session of “Nicolet Parents 101” will be held tomorrow evening, Jan. 25th from 6:00 – 7:00 PM in the NHS Auditorium. This session will focus on Academic Planning for High School. Additional sessions are scheduled for Feb. 22nd, March 15th and April 5th.
Any Student Council member interested in making posters and/or doing some announcements for the PB&J drive should meet in Mrs. Schaub's room after school on Thursday, Jan 26th from 3:15-3:35.
Music T-Shirt Design Contest - Voting
Attention Bayside students: Thank you for 25 awesome submissions to the Music T-shirt design contest. Voting will happen this week during lunch. All students will be invited to vote by lunch table. Fifth and seventh graders voted yesterday and, sixth and eighth graders will begin voting today.
Attention students: New flex assignments were handed out in Advisor yesterday. Please be sure to report to your new Flex assignments beginning today.
Listen up, Jazzers: There will be no Jazz band tomorrow morning. Enjoy sleeping in a bit!
Pasta Bar in the Cafe
On Wednesday, January 25 we are having a special pasta day. $3.75 includes your choice of meatballs, breaded chicken or grilled chicken, choice of marinara sauce or Alfredo sauce. The entrée comes with garlic toast, unlimited vegetable and fruit bar, and of course, milk.
